My Approach
Every person has the desire to communicate-this is the bridge to human connection. A breakdown in communication can lead to frustration, behavior issues, and/or low self-esteem.
Whether the breakdown is caused by distorted speech sounds, delayed receptive/expressive language, stuttering, deficits in phonological awareness, or a combination of these–it does not have to be permanent.
I am a certified Speech Language Pathologist who specializes in speech and language deficits among children and adults. I use evidence-based research to guide my techniques while also individualizing therapy activities to meet the interest of my clients. I believe that children learn best in a structured environment that is conducive to FUN. This can look like writing words in flour as we make a cake, working on social skills during role play, or using slime to represent “bumpy” and “smooth” speaking.
I will guide you and your child through the journey to effective communication, every step (and word) of the way.
